Please stop using the phrase “I don’t have the spoons for this”

Wait wait listen before you reblog this talking about what a privileged douchefuck i am. Please I find it really annoying that people are using this when they do have the capabilities of doing things and are not physically limited only emotionally. Instead of saying “I don’t have the spoons” just say I don’t feel like arguing or I am not up for arguing. The spoon euphemism was used by someone who had a physical condition that impacted their life, just because you don’t feel ok today doesn’t mean you can use it. You don’t have to argue with everyone and even if they heckle you because “HAHA YOU DON’T WANT TO ARGUE CUS UR WRONG PUSSY” just ignore it. It’s not your job to argue with everyone over the internet or responde to everyone. Relax.

All arguments can be won by proving that you have less privilege than the other person/people, regardless of the topic, your opinion on it, or even your knowledge about it.

One thing that really skeeves me out is that a lot of SJAs claim that you shouldn’t judge someone by the color of their skin but as soon as the person they are arguing with seems to be of light skin they automatically pull the “you’re white and privileged so you can’t say shit” even though they don’t bother to find out what race the person actually is.

I agree wholely disabled people aren’t bad at all but disabilities are bad! It’s not nice to struggle your whole life or even a portion of it due to a disability and the fact that people earnestly want this and wish for it is disgusting.  Wanting to be a part of an opressed group disabled or not so you can get your pity and SJ brownie points is really reaaally horrible.

well, actually, some forms of radical feminism are female supremacy… people like mary daly advocated marginalising men to the point where they would die off. many feminist writers wrote huge polemics calling transgender individuals ‘infiltrators’ and ‘gynephiliacs’ who were not to be trusted around women, and a lot of feminists successfully protested and occupied sex reassignment centres forcing them to stop giving treatment to transgender individuals, and so a lot of them died or committed suicide without medication or support. more amounts of men and transgender women were expelled from rape crisis centres by feminists. you can’t deny the fact that a lot of this was ideologically based.

this is not to cast doubt on the good things a lot of feminists do and the things feminism achieved, but just because something is a ‘rights movement’ does not mean many in it can’t advocate some horrible, bigoted and disgusting things that harm people.. there are some valid reasons people are very wary of a lot of feminists

On a personal note, I really really hate Walmart.  With a revenue of $421 billion a year, it is easy to see what type of wealth and power it wields in our economy.  I worked for Walmart for 2 months and had to quit because I felt dehumanized, but what I saw while I worked there only disgusted me more.  With all the money and power and potential to change Walmart holds, very little goes to charity.  Instead it destroys local business and forces the majority of the inhabitants to have to work there. 

They pay their employees so little that they have no choice but to shop there as well for the MEASLY discount they can get (which most food items are not covered under the discount).  Every two weeks on payday I would check out at least a quarter of the employees as they bought the next two weeks worth of food, consisting mainly of tv dinners and the such that were covered in the discount.  This is called wage slavery.  Similar things were seen during the construction of the railroads with store credit.  

Furthermore, they treated their employees with very little respect.  They preached a “family” atmosphere (telling employees to shop there to keep it in the family) however constantly reminded us that there were hundreds willing to take our jobs.  They were more concerned with saving money than a job well done and I often saw employees chastised for coming into work early because it would add 10 minutes of overtime.  We were encouraged to wait next the the punch in station for the exact time we were supposed to check in and out.

Once Walmart moved into my town, local businesses began to wane.  Once a SuperWalmart opened (where I worked) local businesses completely failed.  The town’s economy is dying.  It’s a simple process: 1. Walmart imports cheap goods made at workers’ expenses in inhumane factories 2.Walmart offers lower prices 3. Local businesses can’t compete and shut down 4. Locals have to work for Walmart because not enough other businesses are open.  5. Salaries are too low to shop anywhere else, so everyone continues to shop there 6. Walmart gets more money to start the process all over again in a different town.

SO PLEASE.  Even if it is more expensive, do not shop at Walmart.  Support local businesses.  In the long run it is what is best for our economy and our workers rights.  It is this type of system that is the problem, so start fighting it by shopping elsewhere.

Unfortunately while your claims may be true you can’t simply just say “don’t shop at Walmart”

A lot and I mean a lot of people pretty much make a living off a WalMart and cannot physically afford to stop shopping there. It’s kind of a very nasty relationship between Walmart and the poor.

Alright I always see this sort of mentality from SJers.
